The peaceful valley of Ayagaures

Have you just landed and still have time for a little tour to get your legs started? From the Life On 2 Wheels bike shop you ride on the GC-503 next to the park towards Centro de Salud (the health care clinic). When you’ve passed Aqualand, take a right onto GC-504 in the first junction and you enter the peaceful backroad. The 8.5 km long quiet valley leads to Ayagaures, with an average gradient of gentle 2.5% and 220 meters of climbing. It is just the right way to arrive on the island of eternal spring.

In the end of the valley there are two restaurants where you can enjoy a coffee or let yourself be pampered with typical Spanish tapas. If you still haven't had enough, then follow the GC-504 and get a taste of the grandiose hairpin roads that await you on Gran Canaria. After the following climb of 2.5km and 164 meters, you have reached the viewpoint of Cima Pedro Gonzales and will be rewarded with a beautiful view. The route is rarely used by cars and is therefore ideal for beginners. To get home, the choice is yours to return the same way or finish off the roundtrip by descending through the small town of Montaña la Data. Look out for cars here!
